I'm on vacation but popped in to see if anything is new over here on OSP
annnnnddddd after reading the morning "TMSaga" this is what I needed to LOL
and get on with my day!!

What in the world?? lol!! I found a bat in my apartment (when I lived in OR) and I just caught him and let him go

Haha! The Navy Seal wannabe in me was soooo into this vid! I even caught myself leaning to the right, trying to peer around that corner!!! Sweet!

We once found we had a whole family of bats hanging out in the circular vent on the exterior of our garage. We called pest control to come and remove them, and they were apparently endangered brown bats... They couldn't harm them! Fudge!

So we call the environmental place and they tell us that we can encourage them to find a new home when they are out at night. He looks in his books, notes, whatever and says the oder of strong perfume will drive them away.

So in the middle of the night while the bats are out, my husband, who is afraid of heights, climbs up about 20 feet on a shaky extension ladder armed with cotton balls soaked with cheap perfume and stuffs the vent full.

The next morning the phone rings and it's the guy from the environmental place... He read the wrong page, the cheap perfume was to ward off squirrels. I couldn't stop laughing, hubby would have loved your pellet gun!

This isn't cool. You killed a poor defenseless bat. PETA will be on you during your bus tour.

Dude! That was terrible! Bats don't just eat bugs…they most importantly eat mosquitos! You're in so much trouble…

I know! Brand and model number please! Makes my airsoft pistol look like a squirt gun...

That was a nice AR15 airsoft, DJ! Even cooler with the laser point! Kinda overkill with a defenseless bat.

FYI: I used to play tournament paintball, and I hear some serious airsoft players used REAL military guns, retrofitted to shoot plastic pellets that comes out of airsoft. hehehe Watch out!!

Sorry boys, I gotta join the nay sayers on this one. Of all the weird things that someone could be in my family, my step aunt or whatever she is, up in Ventura is a bat conservationist. She goes to schools and stuff teaching about the role they play in our environment cause they're actually important. There's not the sick filth and disease carrying rodents that rats are. I was also raised really respecting animals not to the extreme but not doing this. Sorry to bring the drama but that kinda brought a dark cloud. Sorry dudes. Hope we can agree to disagree. Can I still come over some day DJ?

Well...poor little creature...until it tries to stay in your home! I laughed like crazy! Way to go DJ! I've got some very irritating birds at my house...wanna come over? Heehee. Just playing the devils advocate!

In our 100 year old house, bats are NOT welcome.

Furthermore, when my lovely wife is lying on the floor shrieking in terror, due to a bat swooping around, I grab my trusty badminton racket and go on the offensive!

Okay...you wake up in the morning and find scratches on your body that weren't there the night before...then you start sleeping with a racketball racquet next to the bed. (Though I think DJ's gun would do just fine.)

I and my peace of mind is far more important than any critter that scares me flying around my house. If my husband can get rid of it without hurting it, great. But if it takes a gun, I'll buy him two of them to keep from screaming at the top of my lungs and having a heart attack trying to get away. YES! SERIOUSLY!

And oh I don't feel sorry for the bat. Just in the news that 2 of 4 bats found in a home tested positive for rabies. Better they get wacked if they are in the house like that. Now an attic or something let them leave and seal it up. BTW full auto is not quite as cool sounding as the thwack of a bat meeting a tennis racket!
