So, I wanted to make up a questionaire to get to know a client better, kind of figure out what type of images they are interested in, location ideas, etc... I am pretty sure I am not the first person to do this:) Does anyone have a example I could see or ideas of what I should include on my own?
This is my first "on-my-own" wedding and I am starting from scratch...
Ideas, insights, or pointless ramblings are all appreciated!

I would like to see copies too.. Can I email you guys?

Elizabeth, thanks for sharing. You have some good questions, but I feel it's a bit long, for my tastes. If someone sent me that to fill out, I'd be like geez, this is going to take a while. I'm impatient thou. smile.gif

feel free to e-mail me (address above)

i'm away from my computer 'til next week though, so it might take a little while smile.gif

I'm not sure I understand. Is this a list of questions you give to prospective clients before they hire you, or after they hire you?

Maybe it's just because I already ask some of these "get to know you" questions during the consultation. It helps to break the ice, build rapport, and I get a feeling for what kind of clients they are and what they are looking for. Then I move on to the photography related questions and cover those again at the final meeting before the wedding.

I have them fill it out afterward, as long as i get it a few months before the wedding, so they have a bit to go through it. We chat a lot during the initial meet, but I think it's fun for them to answer some of the questions together, without me there.
