Any musical osp'ers interested in picking up some new gear? I have an epiphone les paul, washburn acoustic, and vox valvetronix ad30vt amplifier I've been thinking of parting with. I used to play quite a bit, I've never been very good but it was a fun hobby until I really got into photography, which is obviously my primary passion.

Anyway, thought I'd see if someone could make better use of these than I do. send me a PM or whatever and we can talk!

I don't know much (anything) about guitars or amps or anything, but my dad and my contractor are really into guitars... would you mind posting some images of the stuff so I could see if it's something they may be interested in? Thanks man!

will do!

taylors definitely rock, the washburn sounds mighty fine though. compared to my friend's taylor (i can't remember which model, the lower end though), the washburn has a warmer sound, IMO

Yep... I play Fender and Martin. I played several taylors and they were a bit more "treble" sounding than the martin. I like em, though they don't smiled apon when you play bluegrass. laughing.gif

I REALLY like the Epi!

Don't do it Phil!!!!

I've played music my whole life and have tens of thousands of dollars in music gear, and I went through a point in my life for like 5-6 years that I didn't pick up my guitar, when I got really into climbing and photography and was traveling around the country living out of the back of my truck, and I almost sold some stuff. But thank God I didn't because now I'm playing more than ever!!

Music is so special and if you sell these now you may never get them again and who knows when down the road you may want to pick it up again. I've had lots of friends who sold instruments in the past only to regret it years later.

Just something to ponder.

i definitely thought about the potential of regret, and i was chatting with my wife and i reasoned that if the passion came back I could just pick up another guitar. the stuff I have isn't pro level, so it's easily replaceable and i don't have any major emotional attachment to them. i like music, but i was never super serious about it, which is why i never got very good. i imagine when we decide to have kids that i'll have even less time for stuff like that.

i'm at peace with my decision, but selling them will be a pain because i'll have to charge so much for shipping them, so I'm hoping some locals on craigslist come though so I don't have to ebay them.
