I would NEVER have know she was taller!
Just a couple of inches taller than him (with flat shoes). His having fine features and a slim build was maybe even more of a challenge. I always placed him on the high side of the street or slopes. Different camera angles including low ones from the side closest to him, helped with a lot of images. When I used to go to Mr Olympia contests back in the 70's there was a 5'2" guy Danny Padilla who looked huge on stage and matched the height of the taller guys, by standing closer to the audience on the stage. I used the same type of positioning in some of these shots where he is closer to the camera to balance their size out. Having them tip in to each other with their hands resting on rails, walls, tables and ground worked well. Of course, sitting is always a great equalizer as there is less difference in height from the waist up - and then they can easily tip in to further equalize the difference by resting their hands on the chair behind the other one, or resting an arm on a table. I just had to be conscious of it in every setting, and use my bag of tricks to compensate.
Thanks for all the nice comments
