Full Version: Renee's baby story!
OpenSourcePhoto > Who We Are :-) > We lived!
the real Carrie V

Renee's birth story was one long wild swing of emotions! We were laughing all day, in between tears and nail-biting moments, and Renee's screams and groans. Actually watching the birth moment was a first for me, and I was completely amazed by the power and strength of Renee!
12 hours of labor, no epidural and one 5 weeks premature baby...
His lungs aren't quite developed, but the doctors think that he'll be out of the oxygen treatments by Tuesday.

*sigh*

I was totally amazed! Both of my babies were born via c-section, so I'd never experienced the whole process before!

Hey Carrie, This was great!!! Tell Bailey's mom i am praying for her because I knwo it is hard to have a baby early. My baby was 5 weeks early and under developed lungs too.... he is now moving and grooving and having fun. Great pictures!! I hope to do one of those soon.

Hey Carrie,

I was watching it again this morning and wandered if you had to have special permission to be taking the shots?? Did you have to get anything signed etc??

I just had to clear it with the nurses on staff, and of course the Mommy!
The nurses told me that the hospital has a policy that basically says that I can be photographing anywhere behind or beside her during the pushing and delivery, but not in front of her. (The don't want any nudity, basically.)

The nurses were SO wonderful and helpful! They found a footstool for me, because I was too short to see over the back of the raised bed without it!

I am sure more wonderful pictures will come of the little one via Studio V!!!!!

Sooo beautiful!! And I love the songs you picked for the slide show, they were perfect.
Bravo for her for not having an epidural- I didn't have any with my kids, but then I was only in labor for 90 minutes with each!! I dilated from 4 to 10 centimeters in 15 minutes!! smile.gif
