Well, I don't know if I can really help you or not, but my guess is that you can only password protect a directory at a time instead of the slideshow itself.
So if all your slideshows are in "yoursite.com/slideshows" then you would have to protect that directory, and thus all you slideshows become protected. I'm guessing that's what is currently happening.
I would move the one slideshow you want to protect to a directory that you don't mind protecting like maybe "yoursite.com/clientname" or something.
Sorry if that doesn't make any sense as I'm just taking a wild guess.

Jebb's right, but there's no need to protect the whole "slideshows" folder. Just protect the folder of the particular slideshow you want to have a password on. I do this all the time.

yeah..i did this a long time ago and my cpanel has changed a bit in the last year and it's not working on just the one slideshow
i guess my cpanel is confusing...
