So after the one bed workshop with Timco last month, I have decided to change my business name from Digital Izatt Photography to just my name, Dustin Izatt Photography.

What do I have to do to make it legal? Do I have to reapply for the new business or can I simply call the state, business license, IRS, etc and update the business name? I know I will probably have to register the new name with the state, but beyond that I am clueless. Has anyone else done this that can give me some advice on everything that needs to be done and where to go?

It's a sole propietorship

I think it depends on the state. In Arizona you aren't required to do anything for a sole proprietorship, you just start using the new name. You have the option of registering the name with the state but that isn't required.
