I am currently shooting with two 5D units and am thinking (itching) to upgrade one to a 1dsM2. Of course I'd like the M3 but I'm content with keeping kidneys for now. Consider this post a feeler.

Anyone have a 1dsM2? Opinions? Pro/Cons? Giving it away?

I know there are many that want a 5D. It would sell with the grip, batteries, etc. I haven't put a price on it all yet.

i switch from the 5d to 1ds m2.

overall, i am pretty happy. nothing beats the 1d body, my 5ds were have a hard time keeping up. i miss the focus joystick as it is fast to select focus points. buffer is probably a little faster on the 5d.

color is great on the 1ds m2, the menu is not a fast to use, and the LCD is a bit smaller than the 5d.

but i used to shoot the 1ds so most of this is familiar.

good luck
