The world is a better place when we share! Over the last couple of years, I've had lots of aspiring photogs (amateurs and semipros) asking me for help in getting started in the business. I tried sharing shooting advice when I could on a 1-on-1 basis, but realized that I could help lots of folks out instead of a handful by posting tips on my blog.

Hey Eric! I was in JC TN last summer, working the Elizabethton Covered Bridge Festival! Now that was big time!

Get back, Jack! I cut my teeth as a photographer for the Elizabethton Star. Sold prints at the Covered Bridge Festival for several years. Give me a shout if you come again. I guess the festival's about a month away now.

BTW, I'm adding technical info under each shot so you can get inside my head while I shoot. It'll take me a bit to go back and pull it for the older posts, but I got the past several done.
