Would anyone be willing to share the wording from their contract that is specific to destination weddings? (In reality, I'm the only one for whom it will be a destination, local to the b&g - is that called something else?) Looking for parts about covering airfare, lodging, per diem, etc. I'm not looking to do this long-term...just covering a friend's wedding out-of-state, but I want to do it in a way that both of our A's are C'd. Would appreciate any help! smile.gif

I just use my regular contract but it states, any travel (this may include airfare, car rental, gasoline, etc), meals and/or hotel expenses are additional etc, etc etc.

Now I prefer to have the bride/mom pay for those themselves, that way I don't have to incur those expenses and bill for them.

I can also just add a fee and they send me a check or add it to their plan level. The "fee" will be to my advantage however, but not to the point that I exploit them. I do my research, etc.

I would rather make a little more and be honest and rebate to them any major difference if necessary, than to not make enough to cover everything and have to submit a bill with receipts. That just delays payment and sometimes it is difficult to collect.

If you will email me your address I will put my contract in the mail to you.

Here's my clause since everyone's being stingy except Darrell....

"Florida Weddings: No travel feels are charged if your wedding is within 50 miles of St Petersburg, Florida. Weddings further than 150 miles, but within Florida require 1-2 night’s hotel stay, $300 gas surcharge plus $150 a day per diem for 2 person’s.

Destination Weddings: (requiring plane flights/located out of Florida) After the initial contract signing and payment of the retainer, a Travel expense advance of $1000 is due roughly 3-6 months before the wedding date to cover our expenses for airline tickets and other reservations. We ( Haskins Photography) not liable for any extra fees or cancellations caused or imposed by your wedding venue. Bride and Groom are responsible for getting clearance with the venue for the photographer to be on site. Our airline travel is always scheduled with one extra day before the wedding, this allows time for unexpected airline cancellations and delays. Destination wedding packages include rehearsal coverage, and “day after” session."

Hope this helps
