I currently use WHCC for print fulfillment, but I know most people repackage the prints before they go to the client (assuming the order is big enough). What do you guys use for packaging? I know ProDPI has Executive Drop Shipping which is an awesome idea, so I am going to look into that. But in the meantime, any ideas on packaging for prints from WHCC?

I don't have to ship out many orders, so I use Paper Box & Specialty for my boxes and then spruce them up a bit. Here's how my go out ...

Thanks. Do you then stick those in another box and ship it? Sorry if my questions are dumb, but I am very new to the print thing.

yeah, you'd have to so as not to damage them. im looking into using boxes similar to that (minus the flowers) with some tissue paper inside for a finished look...

Aw, come on Trevor - I think the flowers work for you. What's wrong, too girly?! tongue.gif

I use THESE from Paper Presentation with a clear belly band and orange round seal.

To ship, I leave off the flowers wink.gif Their prices are really reasonable. Rice Studio Supply also offers boxes.

Where do you get your "belly bands"? and do you have your orange seals custom printed?
regina
I am going to be ordering a lot of boxes from Rice Studio Supply that Anita mentioned. Their boxes are recycled content, which is part of my green plan. I was really impressed with DNL Photo Packaging at WPPI, too. They have a nice green and bright blue boxes in addition to black and brown. I liked their CD packaging as well. If you really want to kick it up a notch, BellaGrafica has some awesome packaging and promo materials. They feature lines from Jeff and Julia Woods, Vicki Taufer, Lori Nordstrom and more. It is a division of Marathon press.

I use Rice Studio Supply for my boxes. I box anyting that customers pick up, even if it is only a couple 4X6's. If I ship the order, it depends on how big the order is. If it is a small order, I keep in in the clear sleve from the lab, and put it in a cardboard mailer and send it first class mail. If it is a larger order, I put it in the boxes from Rice Studio supply, then package them in a priority mail box (free) and ship it priority mail.

Oops sorry, just saw this. Both the belly bands and seals are from Paper Presentation also. Not custom printed.

Chris,
For sure you should use the Executive Drop Shipping from ProDPI. It's not that much more, you don't have to do anything and it looks great.
