Full Version: Really Weird Pictage Thing?

So, this is a really weird thing that has happened. My wedding is posted on Pictage since it was shot by the lovely Jessica Strickland. Tonight I was trying to log in (probably about time I think about what I'm ordering since it has been 9 months LOL), and I was unable with either of the two accounts that I have. I clicked forgot my password for the account registered to my Gmail address, and the password it sent me was "pictagesucks". So, I went to log in with my other email account that wasn't working (I did NOT click Forgot my password on this particular account) and I tried the password pictagesucks and it worked. I've now changed the passwords to something else.

Now, I am neither here nor there about Pictage, so I know I didn't change my password to pictagesucks. This is really freakin' weird. I did send Pictage an email. Between this and them sending out event passwords before, I am kind of wary.

I didn't want to jump to conclusions, but it does seem logical.

They also used to have a security issue where someone could post a link and it would show up as you logging in as that person. I used to see it on the Knot a lot.

I've been getting emails from guests having password problems and logging in. Also the guestbook viewing feature to see who logged on is not working and has not worked for 4 days now. Pictage says they are working on it.

I think they're not telling us something....

Hi Guys -

Still investigating the "pictagesucks" password change. Don't yet understand how that happened.

The guestbook feature isn't working because we have been upgrading our backend consumer website architecture (you may notice the website is about twice as fast now, the back button works in all browsers, and we are now Safari compliant.) Some existing features broke during the upgrade, but we are rapidly fixing them.

For sh*ts and grins you should have them try the email they registered along with pictagesucks as a password and see if it works- LOL.

I appreciate you guys looking into this. I don't know that the person that processed my email from your contact form totally took the time to read the issue (and I may not have explained it well), but they just sent me my login and password. I did respond to that email and expressed that the issue was now not a login issue, as I changed the password and have been able to log in fine. However, I am a little concerned that my account was compromised.
