Full Version: Pictage Sales Calls

So I sent in the request for information a while back to Pictage, but have not gone with them yet. I am not all anti-Pictage either, it just isn't a good fit for our business now. Now they call me like 4-5 times a months trying to resell me on the service. I actually have made it clear that I am not interested, yet it doesn't seem to phase the sales person at all. Tonight was worse than normal. I told the salesperson 3 straight times that I am not interested and needed to go. The person just ignored and continued on the sales pitch. I actually had to hang up on them. I rarely have to do this for sales people, but this was most annoying and persistent salesperson I have dealt with. Is it just me or do they call others weekly and try to resell them their service?
Jules
Next time they call, tell the person immediately that you demand to be put on their "do not call" list. Then hang up. After 31 days, if they call you, you can file a complaint with the National Do Not Call registry, and the Better Business Bureau.

or just tell them that you are my associate

I inquired with them too. I also told them that while their services might appeal to me at some time, I don't currently like the layout or look of their galleries.

I get emails about every other day from them. They don't phone me anymore, because I have call display and don't answer.

Just tell 'em you're already signed up with them... that should fix it. smile.gif

Whoa, I think I'm having deja vu. wink.gif

Here's my totally sarcastic, bitter, distaste response on how to get them to stop: tell the salesperson you've already been a Pictage member but have cancelled, but that you're still getting billed and want the bill corrected. That's a sure fire way to get the call to disconnect and to ensure that you won't be contacted by them ever again. LOL.....

(Okay, done being a twit.... off to be more productive. hee hee) wink.gif

Are you saying that someone from Pictage went to your blog from this thread? That is almost creepy, huh?

I'm never surprised by this, anymore. For some reason people think that what they write online (here or another forum or on Facebook or MySpace, etc.) won't be seen by anyone they don't want to see it. Don't post anything anywhere online if you don't want it to be seen by your competitors, customers, HR departments, individual people who might want to hire you, your parents, your kids, your kids' friends -- anyone. Even private forums are someone's property and there's nothing to say they can't open it up.

I track all kinds of people to my blog. It's interesting how many visitors come from various threads here on OSP.

That's so funny, but so true. I used to be with Pictage...even spoke at their PartnerCon in 2006. Somewhere along the lines they got an alternate e-mail address for me (even though I was a customer) and a few days after I returned from PartnerCon '06, a sales rep called trying to get me to sign up. I just had to laugh and tell him I was a current customer and that I was even a speaker at the just-completed PartnerCon event. laughing.gif

YES me too! I went to a couple of PUG meetings, and now you'd think they were trying to get me to join the mob. I get at least 3 calls a month and about 2 or three emails a week.

I got a call the other night at 7:10 pm. I wasn't too excited about the call but the girl didn't seem to care.

This is true, and I don't post anything that I might want to hide but none the less...it is still creepy. Makes you feel like you're being stalked.

There are a lot of companies that cater to photographers that are members of this forum... can't blame them, they're getting a lot of interesting feedback about their services and competitors services and stuff.

That said, I am not looking forward to breaking up with Pictage after all these stories... :/
