Hello all, I wanted to pass along some info.
www.samys.com has Sandisk III 8 GB CF cards for $59.95 (after rebate). But if you buy 3 cards you get a bigger rebate and it brings the price down to $46.66 each. If you went to WPPI you may have seen them there.

It's too bad they give you those stupid Visa gift cards for your rebate...so not really a true rebate. But it's a good deal if you don't mind not getting cash back.

Couldn't you use the Visa gift card like cash?

You should be able to use those cards anywhere Visa is accepted, so, if you wanted to, you can pay for your groceries with it.

Those Visa gift card companies make BILLIONS each year off the remainder of the card that can't be used or most people don't use. A dollar here, 25 cents there...it all adds up. You can use these cards like cash in some places but not always online...or to pay bills with.

Thanks for the heads up about the Sandisk Rebates! I just ordered 3 8GB Sandisk III cards from BH Photo. I don't think using the Visa cards should be a problem.

The rebate says "limit 3 per redemption claim". Normally it says per household or per person....does that mean you can get more than 3 and just send a separate rebate?

Thanks for the heads up, I was able to get some 4g cards I needed from B&H with a rebate!

Just as a heads up, there is a household limit. We ended up getting 7 cards using this rebate and they denied one of our $80 rebate claims. We actually called and got them to push it through though. Just a heads up though for anyone thinking about ordering more than 3 cards.
