I am having trouble editing a wedding in Lightroom. (it used to not do this)
Normally I would import my photos, go to the library, sort by capture time and the rest is fine.
Now when I go to edit a photo in photoshop, it bumps the new edited photo down somewhere else in the "timeline".
Does anyone know how to fix this? Or what I am doing wrong?
Thanks in advance!

do you have lightroom set to stack the edits with the original? have you tried re-sorting them by clicking the "sort by capture time (or is it date? - whatever)" option?
PS - people don't always have time to respond to every post, so it sometimes takes more than 40 minutes to get responses. posting things like "anyone?" can be kind of annoying to some, so keep that in mind. just a helpful reminder, nothing personal.
good luck!

I have it sort by capture time. When I edit a photo in photoshop it create a duplicate. The duplicate is then bumped somewhere inbetween other photos, but the original stay in the right spot.
What do you mean stack the edits with the original? Where is that at?

search the lightroom help module for "stacks"
my LR installations are all set to stack automatically - i don't know right off the bat how to set it up, but you should be able to find it fairly easily.

I don't know if this should be in a separate post.
When shooting two cameras (2 people) at a wedding how do you sort your photos? If I sort by capture time, then if one shooter is with the groom and one with the bride, the photos get mixed up. Is there any way to sort photos manually? Maybe I should reset the filenames on my camera?
I'm sorry for all the dumb questions. I can't find any answers in the "Help" section.
BTW I still have not figured out how to fix my original problem.

Jamie,
First see the time of the image before the one you would like to change so the one you change is say one second after the first.
This is what to do:
Go to metadata, Edit Captur Time,
Corrected Time and put in the time you would like and you can change an image to whereever you would like in the order you would like.

Thanks! That works, it's just a pain!

Time sync canon cameras using Eos utility.
