Full Version: Photo Mechanic
OpenSourcePhoto > Digital Photography > Computer Programs

Does anybody use Photo Mechanic in their wedding workflow? I pretty much only use it to supply the right IPTC data for the newspaper I shoot for and I'm looking to get more out of the program than just that. I know its pretty much a standard in photojournalism, but what about weddings and portraits?

thanks! biggrin.gif

suck in CF cards, and make lightning fast selects. I use aperture to IPTC and categorize.

Same here. I use PM to download, ingest or "suck-in" the images from he card. PM is the fastest tool to fly through RAW images to make your selects.
From there, I use PM to rename my RAW selects and copy to a keeper folder. Then it's to Lightroom for RAW conversion.
