Hosting the Pro Photo Show Podcast I'm starting to get some contacts. I can't confirm this, but I believe that PS CS3 will be available as a public beta this Thursday. I know it will be at least for the mac, as they want to get intel performance better. As for the PC we'll just have to wait and see.

Don't kill me if I'm wrong. This was not just a rumor from a dig post, but only Thursday will tell for sure. Keep your eyes open Thursday. I was told not to spill it on the show last week, but I decided I'd drop a little hint here since it's almost here thumbsup.gif

MY intel says Friday. smile.gif I think the official announcement is Thursday.

Beta release of CS3

Yeah. We've been discussing this on another thread. There is truth in what you say... smile.gif
Gavin Seim
Ya I saw the other thread, but I guess I didn't read it close enough. Didn't know you had a date too. Anyway it should be this week, Thursday or Friday.

The point is that we're all totally amped about it wacko.gif wacko.gif wacko.gif

Absolutely! smile.gif I can't wait to see how it fly's on my Mac Pro! smile.gif

No Kidding Chris. I got a 30" Cinema Display (WOW) and it was either mt 17" imac by itself as it cant connect to the 30", or my mac book pro hooked to it for now. I could not resist the huge screen, but I lost a lot of performance.

CS who? CSI is my favorite show.

I don't know if you seen this, but in case you haven't, I just read this on the Adobe Blog.

"The download will be available on Adobe Labs in the early hours Pacific Standard Time on December 15."

From the looks of things we should get Bridge, and PS CS3
I'm so excited wacko.gif wacko.gif

By the way NAAP has some great videos on the site that will tell you about some new features, and get you rolling.

and ACR 4.0

definetly looks promising. Seems like a bigger upgrade than cs2 was to cs

I was just checking out a bit more, and we will now be able to edit jpegs in Camera Raw, and not just Raw files.
thumbsup.gif thumbsup.gif yltype.gif I've started shooting raw now, but this will still be very usefull. Quick corretions on the jpegs without going to PS
coreypolis

Gavin Seim
Maybe it's not live yet. Also my number that I know is good is CS Premium. I'll call Adobe tomorrow

I just got this from one of the developers...

"Please help tell people to chill. We didn't say the system was ready to go. There's a reason for that."

So, uh, chill!

So I was reading the Appleinsider story and I thought it said the CS3 beta WOULD NOT BE the universal binary for Mac users...??? If this is the case, I'm really not that excited about this beta buzz sad.gif
Tim Co.

Not sure what you read, but it is, of course, the Universal version.

Yes dawn that makes you a geek read2.gif Then again don't feel bad because I've been going carzy about this. laughing.gif

As for losing the serial number, if you have registered CS2 Adobe should have it on file.
Chris Barnes
So what's up with not being able to try this beta unless we have a CS2 serial? What about just a CS serial? What i'm getting at is, aren't you able to buy the CS2 upgrade package and upgrade from just about any version? I guess i'm just a little bummed b/c we haven't even upgraded to CS2 yet and i was looking forward to trying out the CS3 beta (i know i know...we're way behind on this).
