Full Version: What's coming in Lightroom 5 Beta or Lightroom v1

Ok FIRST of all - I've just spent the last hour and a half on Adobe's Lightroom forum. That place can be worse than DPR in terms of gearheadedness. To help you, and to help ME with workflow, I just snipped this from a post regarding what's coming:

We have a Redeye Tool

Expanded Quick Develop, using Tabs for more tools.

Healing Brush and some kind of Spot Removal that can be synched across images.

Zoom to 8:1 and possibly 10:1

And reworked Page Setup, Print Settings and Print in the Print Module

Zoom out as well, up to 1:4

A revised click-and-drag crop-tool

More varied and interesting web templates for both HTML and Flash galleries.

Colour Labels

Sorting the Library Grid by:
- File Name
- Capture Time
- Rating
- Import Order
- Edit Time
- Edit Count
- Color Labels
- File Extension
- Aspect Ratio
- User Order

"Flagging"... rejects or "outs" when selection editing

Redone Metadata Browser, too (browse by lens, camera, creator, date, file type or location...[with] very specific behaviors (some and operations and some or operations, depending upon what entries you select) designed to be more discoverable than sql queries could ever be.).

Looks better! smile.gif

thank god for the tabs, I hate scrolling up and down all the time

Those are some welcome additions, specially the healing and patch tool as it may make having to go to PS a less frequent need. The reject option is a good one as well. If they make the Library section closer to what Aperture has to offer I would go with LR in a heart beat becasue I think the develop module is tight!
