i have been trying for a few days now to get through to their tech. support and no luck.

I installed spyder 3 pro in my imac(latest version) and it installs fine, when i open it, it goes through about 4 questions then i hit continue when it asks if i am using the suction cup at the back or not, then the program closes and does nothing. it is very frustrating. anyone have any idea?? i have been calling local places here and they have not a clue either. thanks in advance!

Hi,

I don't know anything about the product you are using, but try the following.

restart your mac. Go to applications/utilities/drive utility and run the verify permissions command.

Make sure that NOTHING else is running before you use the software, it could be clashing with something. I have a little calendar app that starts up with my computer and it clashes with some other things.

So, hold down ALT COMMAND and hit the ESC key. If there is anything running other than the Finder, quit it.

Hope this helps.

Hugh

what hugh said, except for one thing. don't do verify permissions - it's useless. just click "repair permissions" in disk utility's first aid tab (run this on your main hard drive) then restart your computer once it has finished.

if the problem persists, or is associated with burning, itching or nausea, contact your physician ;-)

you can use the S2Pro on unlimited machines.

the main differences, tami, are the speed at which the S3pro calibrates, and the fact that it has a larger sensing area than the S2pro, resulting in more accurate readings. the s2pro is still an excellent system... but the s3pro has a bunch of new features that are really niiiice. i think they've also improved the ambient light compensation.
