Hey ya'll,

I am debating buying the pocket wizard and I am not sure what equipment I need to buy! Someone told me I need to buy 2 wizards, one that attaches to the hot shoe of the camera and then one that you can velcro to the Speedlight that triggers when the one on the camera does, is that right? So do I buy two exactly alike? What cable is it that I use to attach the one to the speedlight? Pocket Wizards website is kind of arbitrary to what I need and I am buying through Amazon, so I am unsure what cable to get and whether to buy the Plus II, and just buy 2 of them and one cable or do I need 2 cables??? So CONFUSED!!!

Does this make sense?

For the PW's you'll need one transmitter and as many receivers as you have strobes. You'll also need some pc sync cords to connect the PW's to the flashes.

Or..you could get these... http://www.radiopopper.com/

You could say they were "invented" here on OSP...check old threads to see why.

If you are attaching a 580ex then you need the following:

You need 2 pocket wizards.

A paramount cable.

And this do hickie.

Lauren,

I'd go to the camera store and have them show you how to use the PW's. They'll help you with all the cords you need and you'll get a demo at the same time.
