Child Loves You- Red

Where does the time go? I know I say this all the time but it's so true. We ask God to bless us indeed and expand our territory... and He does!!! Big time! And then I feel guilty for complaining that our lives are too busy and I can't get all the work done as fast as I'd like.

Here's an excerpt from last year's entry with a few changes to bring it current... It's hard to believe it was time for our 6 year anniversary photo of Bobby & Alli. Every year I share this post with you all... this year happens to be a little later than I intended. A lot of you know that Bob and I adopted our beautiful children from a tiny country in Eastern Europe called Moldova. It's located between Romania and Ukraine. When Bob and I wanted to start a family and realized that it wasn't happening for us naturally, we knew God had a much bigger plan for us. Our adoption process was a not an easy one, in fact it was one of the hardest things we've ever been through as our adoption almost fell through. When we found out about Bobby and Alli and were just about to travel to bring them home, the country shut down adoptions and we were put on, what felt like forever, hold. 12 months went by and it happened... God at His finest. We received a miraculous phone call that we could travel. I remember falling to my knees and thanking God a hundred times!!! It was the happiest day of our lives and it's just gotten better every day since then!!! There isn't a day that goes by that Bob and I don't say a prayer (or two, or three, or four) for all the goodness our lives have been blessed with.

Bob and I have been married for 15.5 years. Our children will officially be home with us for 6 years on March 7th, 2008. I am the luckiest woman in the world to be married to my best friend and have the most loving children in my life! I am so grateful to be spending my life with these amazing people. We have an incredibly supportive family. I will never be able to thank our heavenly Father enough.

Bobby & Alli were 4.5 and 3.5 years old when we brought them home. They were happy and healthy and accepted us into their lives with such grace. The first year they were home was not the easiest for Bob and I. We had no idea how to be parents and we fumbled a lot and I have to emphasize A LOT! But, thankfully, with a lot of hard work we managed to pull it together and have created such a warm, loving family!

We wanted to share with everyone our 6 year anniversary photo with you all. The very 1st photo was taken in the orphanage, 2 days after we officially adopted Bobby & Alli in the Chisinau, Moldova courtroom. Every year we take the same photo of them on the same day with the same papusheka (doll) in our daughter's hands. We bought her that doll in Romania on our 1st trip to Moldova. She's a little worn with love now but she's surviving! Alli doesn't know this but I do have a brand new (the same doll) on hand just in case papusheka ever gets lost. We weren't sure if Alli would still have the doll when we returned on our 2nd trip so I wanted to make sure to have one for her always! Well, the 13th of February we took the last photo! It's hard to believe how quickly they are growing up... sometimes it doesn't seem fair. Maybe I feel that way because we missed so much of their little lives. I hope these photos bring a smile to your face! They sure do for us!!!!
