Is anyone using a great multi-function mouse for their Mac? If so, which one, and have you found that it has made a significant difference in your workflow?

Thanks everyone,
Jason

P.S. It's supposed to be 70 degrees in Seattle on Saturday...

I don't know if this is what you are looking for or not. But I use the mac mighty mouse. Just have to change your setting so it right clicks. I love it!!!

I hate my Mac mouse with a passion. I use a Wacom tablet and the Wacom mouse which I cannot do without! I still can't master the damn pen though but my husband swears by it!

Love Macs, hate their mice.

just use a trackpad and hold down the command key for all your right clicking needs. Who needs a tablet or fancy mouse when you have a trackpad. tongue.gif

I am joking of course, we use the mightymouse, which works but is far from incredible.

I use the microsoft intellimouse explorer... third generation I think. They don't make it anymore, which is unfortunate because it's the best one they ever made. Might be able to find one on ebay.

9x12 wacom tablet, love being able to map key combos to the buttons in photochop

I also love macs but wasn't completely satisfied with their mouse. I use the Microsoft Intellimouse Explorer 2.0 model 1007. It works great.

sad.gif I'm such a Mac purist... I can't imagine plugging anything MS in to my precious. (And while I'm confessing... MS Office trial is removed immediately after I launch a new machine. ohmy.gif )

For years I hardly touched the mouse and used my Wacom stylus for everything- yes even web browsing! And ditto what Jacob said about programming the keys. Once you get that dialed in, you'll be flying!

What are you after with the multifunctions? Is it app specific? Customizing shortcuts or is it a tactile/interface issue? If it's photo workflow related, I'd suggest getting a tablet and putting your mouse in a drawer for a day. Force yourself to be comfortable with it and soon you will be a true Jedi.

That's why it's wireless LOL. ;-) And I even plug the little MS USB key into a hub and plug the hub into the mac. ;-)

Microsoft and Logitech both make good mice. Better than Apple. Apple does make the best trackpads though...

Love Macs, but the ergos on their mice are crap. Heck, I even played at the Apple store on a MacPro to compare to an iMac for about 30 minutes between the 2 machines and after that my hand was sore - read tired. I love my Logictech mice, for both, my PC at work and my Mac at home.

i use a wacom intuos 3 tablet as well - super accurate, it saves your wrist by allowing you to rest your arm naturally while using the stylus, and you can program key combos in photoshop.

i will never go back to a regular mouse.
