Does anyone have any cool In Design Templates they would like to sell? My husband is switching over from Photojunction and in the process of figuring everything out with this new program.
Thanks!

Hey there. I don't have templates to sell, but just made the switch recently as well. The quickest learning tool for you might be this...
Kevin Swan's InDesign Tutorial

thanks Kevin!

+1 for kevin's design tutorial. it's sooo worth it, and you'll be designing in ID in no time. i also have about 2 years of training in ID, so that helps, but his tutorial covers a LOT of stuff that will help you become very proficient for album design.

best of luck!

You should also check out this thread from over a year ago. InDesign Template sharing! I don't know if they're still up, though - so far I've just designed from scratch. I'm sure someone could start adding again if they wanted.

FYI - The way I've found to be the best for using InDesign is to set up a standard layout that I use - for me, it's 20x10. I have it set up with all the Object Styles I use, and I make sure the color space and transparency blend space are they way I need (srgb and document rgb, respectively). On my master, I drag in guides where I want to always have them and put them on their own layer, so I can make them disappear if I want (they'll also disappear by hitting w). I then apply the master to all pages, and now guides show up on every page. When I start a new design, I just open this file, save as in my client's folder with that client's name, and I'm good to go.

I'm still kind of slow, though! Actually putting elements on the page goes quick, but I'm horribly slow at deciding how to design each spread. I'd probably be faster starting with a template!

Thanks Aaron! Do you by chance know how to make the designs that you will see on the edges or fade outs. Hate to sound stupid, but I have always had someone else design and we are trying to mess around with doing some of our own. At this rate I think we will sending them out for a few more decades, but hope that one day we will finally get the hang of it!

I have a single template at KISS's site: http://www.KissWeddingBooks.com/questions.html that may help you get started. It's free, contains 3 spreads. If you have questions, lemme know.
