First of all I want to thank all of you who replied the last time I asked this question.
I've scraped all the previous names and come up with some other options.
The area I'm looking to open a studio for babies, kids, and weddings is Manhattan Beach, CA. For those of you who don't know it's a high income beach community with a ton of young families.
I've been toying around with something with a French flair. Here are a couple of more choices:
Studio Joli - Joli means lovely
Studio Rouge/ Studio Rosso
Studio Ala Carte - Not sure why, but I like the way this sounds and the tone of choice it conveys to clients. Yes - I know it might sound like a restaurant to some, but I'm not really concerned about that.
Any other suggestions?
thanks again,
Sean

I'm kinda liking Studio Rouge... but what about flipping it? Rouge Studios? I'm not crazy about the Ala Carte one, it sounds really restaurant-ish But that's just my .02

Out of the three I like Studio Rouge the best. Kind of has that avant garde sound to it.
I think the food connotations with Studio Ala Carte are just too strong, and though I'm not sure how to pronounce "Joli", I can't help but think that everyone would pronounce it Studio Jolly which to me just doesn't sound right.
Sorry, I don't have any of my own suggestions.

Rouge Studio would be my fave. Definitely like it flipped around.
I don't like ala carte, it reminds me of discount food. Studio Rosso reminds me of wine, back to food.
Good Luck picking!

Also be really careful with using foreign languages, because a huge pet peeve for many is misspelling/misspelling those names. As a French speaker, it grates (a lot) to see accents in the wrong places, or missing entirely. In your examples, the "ala" is two words, with an accent over the 'a'.
Personally, with a name like Azul, I'd be all over that. Means 'blue' in Spanish, right? So many cool ways to use the color, the name, your name, all wrapped up in one tasty branding package. Studio Azul has a great ring to it, in my opinion, and you're building both your biz and your name as your brand, with built in color and feeling all wrapped in one.
Any reason you don't wanna use your delicious name? (You might have mentioned it elsewhere, but I didn't see it...)

Of your choices...i would select "stuido rouge" but i do like it reversed!
azul studio is great too...does keep with a name that you have already branded. just a thought.

"Studio Joli" or "Joli Gallery" would be my favs. "Rouge" is fun and flirty, but since you said "babies" and "kids" first, I'd go for something more simple and sweet, like Joli, rather than sexy like "Rouge."
Best of luck Sean!!
