You all MUST check this out.

Laura Siebert (http://www.laura-siebert.com) is a good friend and customer, and is doing the MOST WONDERFUL exhibit in St. Louis. Here's what it is about:

Per scientific fact: Any two random humans on earth will vary in their genetic material by 1/1000th of 1 percent. So much hatred spewing forth out of our differences when we could be focusing on our 99.99 percent of similarities.

We all have the same basic human needs and desires; the greatest of which is the need to feel significant. We have a responsibility as parents to teach our children to respect each others' differences but more importantly, to cherish what makes us the same.

Entwined, a conceptual photo essay by St. Louis Photographer Laura Siebert, examines the seemingly innate desire to connect with others, as demonstrated by children. She invites you to bring the whole family to this exhibit. Her hope is that viewing the images will open a family dialogue about what makes us the same and how we can embrace this.

Go to www.entwinedexhibit.com and check out some of the images. We did over 30 canvases and many fine art pieces for her, and they are STUNNING!!! She's SO talented - I just love her. I'll have more images on my blog in a few days.

All the best,
Roxanne

THAT is awesome. Beautiful on so many levels.

I often think about the women in Iraq and Afghanistan, and their children, and how scared they must feel. How would I feel if I were in their place. Our only real difference is our geographical location.

I wish and pray so much that we could all just get it together and stop beating the crap out of each other. I remember seeing a documentary about mothers in Chechya and Russia saying "no more" and working with each other to bring their sons home.

Whew, sorry, that was kind of a side rant - but that's what her exhibit about the sameness we all share made me think of.
