I read somewhere about a camera insurance policy that covers things like cameras being dropped, water damage, and theft. My home owners policy only covers theft. I have no intention of submarining my gear of dropping it but want to cover my investment and was wanting to know what my options are and how much it cost. Any thoughts??? Thanks

I have insurance through state farm just tell them you need insurance for camera equip you use for business and they will know what to set you up with. Its super cheap and well worth it. I think it costs me around $100 a year for about $25k work of equip. let me know if you have any questions.

Does it cover more than theft? and what is the deductible?

sorry that took me a while. it includes about everything you can think of theft, dropping in the ocean etc etc. The deductible will vary on the company and what coverage you choose. when i researched state farm seemed to have the best prices and they have a good reputation.
