<------first of all, note the blonde hair.

I just tried uploading a SIW show to my blog, and can't figure out what I am doing wrong. I have a wordpress blog hosted on my site (bluehost). I created a folder within public_html called "blog", within that folder is a folder called "slideshows."

I uploaded the slideshow folder (named "turkeybowl" - long story) to www.michelecalderonphotography.com/blog/slideshows and typed in the URL as www.michelecalderonphotography.com/blog/slideshows/turkeybowl. Got the code, typed it in the code area of my text area, and this is what the post looks like:Click to view attachment

I can see it is too big (not sure what pixel size to make the show - I didn't change the default but obviously I should have as it is covering up part of the right sidebar).

But, why does it show this big expanse of white, and when you scroll over it, it says "click here to activate this control." There is no picture of the first image, no little play button, etc.

I am totally new to wordpress AND blogging, so that does not help.

Any advice, please?????

the name is case sensitive, so it looks like it should be blah.com/blog/slideshows/TurkeyBowl/

You just need to change the pixel size for it to shrink.

OK - I changed the name, even re-uploaded it, made sure I had checked "show first image when loading" (or something like that) - still white space. Albeit smaller white space - I did change the pixel size - thanks.

Hoping for any other ideas!

OK - got it to work. BUT:

Why is there no "play" button? The show starts loading as soon as you get on my blog. Isn't there a way for them to choose whether or not to play it?

That option is within showit under the advanced tab maybe? Not sure, but know you can change it from within the software, but I don't have it open right now.
