Very beautiful work, Matt. The 3rd shot is very nice, really appealing (not just stating that for the obvious reasons

)
The ring shot is fun and unique, a well-executed concept considering the difficulty of being different with the rings.
Most of the others are just really well-done, timely captures and beautiful compositions.
Using the 5D?

Using the 5D?
No, actually all 1D Mark 3. The wife and I both prefer the solid construction of the 1-series bodies. Thanks for your comments!

My personal fave is #5 (one of Krystal's). I just love the way everyone in the image is doing something different. Total "slice of life."

I love this set. I think the bride's face is a wee toooo smooth in some of the shots, but overall it's wonderful work.

Matt - Rockin' set of images. Could have done without the tilt in a couple of the shots imho, but I think the post work is nice. Crisp and clean images with some great colour.

You are truly blessed Matt, and I feel joyful to have both you and Krystal in my life.
I've seen Brooks around the forums before and he is generally negative and rude. It's a shame, he's taken a couple of good photographs.

Solid set overall--I'm especially diggin' the motion on the last reception image. Nice capture M&K!

Thanks Sean! That was shot on a tripod from overhead. Radioed down to Krystal and told her to tell the couple to stand still and did a 1-2 second exposure. I like it too!
C.J.: I'm working on it!

Thanks for the insight on the shot, Matt... I've actually been trying various shots lately that involve movement around our couples.

Thanks for the kind words--Italy was fantastic... lots more to show from there, but no time to do it just yet... we're pulling an all nighter right now, getting ready to head out in just a few hours for two weddings in Mexico. We'll be back in two weeks... *then* we'll be able to blast the blog with some great stuff from all the destinations

Hi Matt!
I'm glad you posted on here! I think your work is beautiful and I just showed your site to my husband as well. We both dig it.
Regarding the other conversation happening here...I don't know what you're like on DWF (we've intentionally avoided going there b/c we heard that there is lots of criticism, but that very little of it is constructive, which in IMHO is the only useful kind), but I hope you keep coming. Don't let anybody get to you, but also please let OSP be what it is. DWF and OSP both play important roles in the photography community and it'd be great to have you stick around--I think we would all benefit (you included).
We've bookmarked your blog and look forward to visiting it often in the future!

I really like this set of images. 5, 8 and 10 are really strong. First one and a couple in the middle are nicely lit but don't do anything for me as a viewer. That church was gorgeous!

Awesome. Yet another blog to stalk (although I don't know why I haven't before...I'd been following your words of wisdom on DWF since I joined...at least in the start arena...)
And to...

I'm sort of in the 'beginner's' crowd of DWF, but from what I've read of his that I have access to, he's very straight forward, and has an amazing sense of humor (that doesn't always translate perfectly in text because he doesn't post smiley faces and stuff...)
