Lauren The Awesome
TUG: noun. A super fun, insanely messy and unbelievably competitive upgrade to your typical game of tug-of-war; takes place in a 100 foot long, 4 foot deep pit of mud. Enjoy biggrin.gif

INSANE!!! Has to be Georgia red clay.

Oh yeah biggrin.gif Usually we pump 9,000 gallons of water into the pit, but because of the drought this year, we could only use 1,500. By the time the last two rounds took place, the mug had been reduced to the consistency of cake mix. The pulls took longer and longer to complete because once people got their footing they couldn't MOVE their feet! It was CRAZY! And SO fun!!

Although my sorority's team lost the first round, I was SO proud of them, because they fought for 10 MINUTES before the center knot got pulled across the line wink.gif We rock biggrin.gif

You have no idea how difficult it was. The tuggers purposefully splash mud everywhere when the first enter the pit, so I had to get pretty creative. I wish I had a picture of my setup. I put a hole in the bottom of a glad forceflex trashbag and screwed in into place on my lens with a lens hood. Then, just to make sure it didn't budge, I wrapped the lens hood and last half of the lens with plastic wrap. When I started shooting, I hid my head in the trashbag and shot that way biggrin.gif
