I've been trying to see how to set up tethered shooting in LR and the sites i find online when I do a search say i need to use the Canon EOS Viewer that came with my camera. I've installed that. I have a 5D, and found the WIA driver which I also installed.

But when I hook up my camera it just says "busy" and the EOS viewer says it doesnt recognize my camera. Is there anyone who is doing tethered shooting with a Canon to Lightroom? If so, how are you doing it?

thanks!

I just happened to hang out with a photog buddy yesterday and we went through the process of setting up his laptop to shoot tethered. He's a canon guy with a 5D also. I know we had to set up a "watched" folder to initiate the capture in LR. We pulled the process from an 07 edition of "Darkroom" from NAPP...I could probably get you the mag edition, and put you in touch with him for questions if necessary...

that would be awesome!

I set up a watched folder, but the EOS Viewer isn't recognizing the 5D nor is it capturing the images when I take them.

try checking for software updates from the canon site. i think they have an updated program called "EOS Utility" that got things working on my setup, which is a 20D and a macbook.

good luck!
