Ok, I just posted this one the woman's section (not sure why I was looking at the "women's comfy shoe" post in the first place???
..but think I'd rather ask men...
So can anyone recommend good guy's comfy shoes? Something that doesn't look like you borrowed your grandfather's orthopedic slippers and stepped out with shorts and black socks to mow the lawn? Something that LOOKS like they could be $900 Italian hand-made leather...but actually something you COULD wear for 8-10 hours without paying your entire fee to an overpriced foot masseuse?
I've got shoes that LOOK great, but aren't that comfy on your feet for that long...and then I've got great comfy shoes that I could wear forever...but never to a wedding. I don't have both though. Any ideas?

I wear cool style hip shoes but with a pair of super thick comfy tennis socks with dress socks over them.

Great idea! Didn't think of that even though I do that with my cleats all the time. Thanks!

coming from a person who used to spend 10-18 hours on my feet. Doc. martins are fantastic - right out of the box - and they have toned down their style a bit.
or
ECCO - casual and dress shoes. I would say this is the runner up for comfort but first in the "cool" factor.
It is nice to know you are not going to be slipping around when you hit a wet surface.

I've never tried this site, but someone once posted
http://www.shoesforcrews.com/. You could take a peek there for something.

I love my Merrel's. Very comfy, and they look great for the mountain elegance weddings I shoot.

I really needed this post before my wedding last weekend. Sunday I was walking funny. I'm not quite as young as I used to be...

You might want to check out ALDO for a pair... their website doesn't always show the most current stuff, but *most* malls have a store. I love their stuff... it's pretty stylish and after you break 'em in (take about a day of walking around in 'em) they're incredibe. If you still find that you don't like them then just slip in a pair of gel pads (or whatever they're called).
Oh, and they have some of those shoes that look like they're "$900 Italian hand-made leather" but for about $100 tops.
