Thanks for the heads-up, man. I just picked up an 8-gig SanDisk extreme III from amazon for $91 and free shipping. More pricey, but 20-30MB/second transfer rates sound pretty good to me! Also, in 4 years, I've never had a SanDisk fail or lose an image, so it's tough to stray from the brand--even when the Transcend is less than half the price.

I'm probably just superstitious. Maybe i'll pick up some Transcends and just try them on non-critical jobs for a while.

Anyone have any bad experience with them?

I just got 2 cards for now yesterday but this is a great deal. They might not be San Disk but we haven't had any problems with them thus far. Hope others get in on this deal. Have a great weekend all!!!

We have a couple of Transcends and they have worked fine. On a side note, with the rebate, BH has the 8 GB Extreme IIIs for $60/each or $50 each if you buy 2. Just wanted to let you know.

Nothing but good things to say about Transcend here. I tried them because a friend recommended them and because they were cheap. Now the vast majority of my cards are Transcend because they are fast and reliable.

Just wanted to add that I've tried Transcend cards and won't be buying them again. I think I've had corrupted or lost images maybe 80% of the last several shoots wiht them. They were fine for a few months and then went downhill. I'm a pro, and I'm sticking with reliable products.

I have two 8 gig and one 4 gig Transcend cards. No problems so far...
