I bought the video light

but I know nothing of lightstands. Can anyone recommend a good light stand to purchase? Any info would be most appreciated! Thanks!

Didn't you know I am a gear head...you need this

http://www.mpex.com/browse.cfm/4,4729.htm and this

http://www.mpex.com/browse.cfm/4,4721.htm

stands are a dime a dozen, the auto collapse leg ones like the redwing kwickstand are kind of cool if you can find one but they don't make them anymore, but you can get these easy at midwest and they are fast.

On the adapter hot shoe make sure to put a piece of eletrical tape over it . It is metal and can screw up a remote flahs if you ever put one on there.

Just another thought...It's not what you asked about...but the best lightstand is an assistant! smile.gif Put the light on a monopod and have an assistant move it about and you'll save a lot of time and awkwardness on a shoot.

+1 for the monopod idea... you can also hold it in your other hand when you shoot. You also have the ability to angle the light quicker and bring it up high like a boom etc.

Of course I have both so I can setup a light stand (Bogen 3373) for the light and monopod when on the streets / location.
