Full Version: My first Nikon Wedding
OpenSourcePhoto > YA wanna FIGHT! > Canon and Nikon
Sean Azul
Some of you might think this was a bit wreckless, but I picked up a D300 and a few lenses on Friday and shot the entire wedding on Saturday with it.

Can you guess which lenses I used? Hint - No sharpening applied.

I'll be doing a full blog post on why I switched tomorrow.

Welcome aboard! You'll love it over here...

For some reason I'm thinking the switch from Canon to Nikon wouldn't be as hard as Nikon to Canon. I don't know though. Anytime I pick up a Canon I feel like an amateur again!

+1 Feels like everything is backwards.....I always end up thinking "Now why did they do it THAT way?!?"

Nice pictures Sean, is that off camera flash on the second to last?

@Pagie: Thanks. My first camera was an old Nikon film camera - N4004. Glad to be back

@Ginger: Thanks, that photo was made with natural light and the Nikon 70-200 VR

@Eric: Good guesses, but here's the shocker. Other than the closeup, everything was shot with a Tamron 17-35 and 24-75. I compared an older Nikon 28-70 with the Tamron and the AF was much faster. Not bad for a few hundred dollars worth of lenses.

I can't possibly describe how happy this makes me. Ever more proof that it's the person behind the camera not what they're holding infront of their face. Great job on the wedding!
