Great ones Bill and Laurel!!!
SaraH
I don't have very many, seemed to end up in the wrong place at the wrong time too often! Bill, it was wonderful to see you again, love the tree shot! LOVING some of your stuff Laurel, you made amazing use of the environment, which is what I hope to do next time. Always a blast meeting people, but I spose I must accept that I royally stink at shooting in a group, as my gut reaction is to get out of the way and observe rather than getting what I want from the scene! Next time, name tags, man. I know I missed meeting so many peeps just not knowing who was who!

On to the photos, head shots really, but fun.

more please!! love seeing the goods, especially those who were playing with radio poppers and such, since that's outside my comfort zone and I get SO inspired seeing what you can do!

Sara, Sara, Sara, LOVE these! It was so fun to meet you!! Hope you had fun at the shoot on Thursday, I am SO sick...you were so right smile.gif Hope we can hang out again soon!

PS. I AM A LOVE CAT smile.gif

Sarah:

I can't believe I missed meeting so many people - name tags would be great - I kept looking at people and flipping through a mental image of avatars and trying to see if they looked familiar. And I know what you mean about ending up in the wrong place. There was too much good stuff going on!!

And I got caught up observing also - hard not to do!

I didn't get a chance to play with t he radiopoppers - wanted to but they were always occupied, so maybe next time....I'm looking forward to seeing some shots as well.

Now I have to edit the pics....too much other stuff to get to here with the biz after being gone, but I gotta get some edited and posted.

Great shots too!!
Dawn Bergeron
Those are all so awesome! Laurel - I LOVE those images:) Wish I could have gone! I went a few years back - but I'm thinking I need to try and make it this next year again. So much talent and so much to learn. Just awesome work here.
Art& Soul
I agree about the name tags! Even as I read this post I am realizing there were all sorts of people there I didn't get to meet! I'm having a hard time going through the images because I have so much to do after being gone. Hmm... maybe I can find just a few... w00t.gif

I have also found I don't shoot real well in those situations either. Too much playing and talking and watching and craziness! smile.gif

Sara those are great. Nice shots indeed.

I have to say thanks to Tana, Sofie, Jason and Mark for everything you guys put into the event and the planning for it. This event was a experience that i will never forget. I came away from this event more confident in my photography, and I felt important for the first time in a long time. I cant say enough about all the cool people I met at this event and hope that I can keep in touch with all of you.

Here are a few of mine from the workshop and theres a few more on the blog for now.

Gerald
Great stuff guys! Here are a few shots that Airika got...

I soooo agree! I feel that same instinct to get out of the way. And my apologies to everyone I stared at trying to place a face with an avatar! The whole site was packed with the wicked cool people I love in our online life and I'm so sorry that I didn't just spend my time walking up and introducing myself to everyone. Next year. smile.gif

A few snaps of everyone working (and my favorite model)...

Hey guys, we were honoroed to have Still-Motion fly down to get some video footage of LLV. They are looking for images to put in the video, but they need them soon. I've pasted Patrick's e-mail below:

Hello Everybody,

If you were at the Leaving Las Vegas shoot, we need 2-3 of your best images, fully edited, sent to patrick@still-motion.ca. We are completing the video editing today and all that is left is to add in the photography. We will be accepting submissions until we have enough photos to finish up the piece (I'm hoping for Monday evening).

Please send pictures as a jpg resized to 2000 pixels wide with no logos on them. Please provide both the artists ad company name and those will go in the bottom right when a your photo is shown.

Thanks for your help. This will surely be a terrific piece when it comes together with all of the photography.

Nametags for sure next year. I had a great time meeting everyone! It did seem to fly by.

I can't thank Sofie, Tana, and Jason enough for pulling this together. And thanks to everyone who signed up, it was a great way to end an amazing week.

I didn't realize Paige was shooting me in the last shot she posted above (I have some shots of the beautiful Paige Elizabeth at the Neon Boneyard to post soon- ooh la la). this is what I was shooting when Paige was shooting me:

a few more- I didn't shoot much either.

Mark - AMAZING shots - you show us how it's supposed to be done. Was that your lighting or were you using the RadioPoppers?
mark eric
Thanks guys, I appreciate the kind words. I have seen some amazing images produced by all of you!

Mark- I did play with the radio poppers- and absolutely loved them. But all of the pictures I posted above were shot with natural light, I may have used a reflector on the last one. Most were shot using a canon 5D and 135 2.0. The first shot was shot with a 28 1.8.

Sofie my first words when i saw the pics from you with the model in the black dress with the black head piece.............HOLY COW!!!!!! Great shots from everyone. Its crazy to see what others can get out of the same model at the same location.

Here is a few more I shot that day.

Check the blog tomorrow where there will be more shots posted and I am hoping within the week i can share about my experience in Vegas in detail. Thanks all!!!

Stewart C.

Ok so I've finally gone through a few of these. I have to admit, I am pretty biased about the ones of lisa in her black dress and veil- like you can't tell!!- but she was just too much fun. I actually could have stayed up there on the rocks with her all day!

Sofie, I LOVE the b&w shot of her!!! Completely captivating!

Definitely tell me what you think! I'm such a procrastinator and I never get to posting from group shoots in a timely manner! smile.gif Now I'm off to see about some of the other models I shot! laughing.gif
Amanda Sue
great images everyone...I hope I can make it to vegas next year!

Before getting to my shots, I want to sincerely thank everyone that made this shoot happen.

It was awesome to finally get to meet many of the photographers that I look to for inspiration.

I feel so blessed to have been able to not only watch all of you do what you do, but to actually get to shoot with some of you was an incredible experience.

Thank you. Thank you all. I can't wait to do this again.

Here's a handful of my shots. I'll be posting more on my blog soon.
