Many of our customer and/or potential customers often ask us the difference Kodak and Fuji Professional papers. After working very hard with color management experts both in house and in the industry, I can say that the output on Fuji Pro paper has a pretty large difference in color.

The images below represent output from a Durst Theta 76 on Fuji Pro paper from ProDPI, (wireframe) the color image is another popular pro lab with the same output device on Kodak Pro paper. You can see a difference in the size of the gamut in the profiles.

Paper alone does not make up this difference, profile creation also plays a part, however in the end, the larger more accurate the profile of the paper, the better the final results in all color areas will be.

Graphically speaking there is a pretty substantial difference, however we always encourage you to test your lab of choice in order to obtain the best results from your images.
