ShootQ just launched a new site and we are so excited about it! It's called
ShootQ Grant. You have to go check it out. The site says that the "ShootQ Grant is a $10,000 grant given to a photographer to fund a project that raises public awareness about an important social, environmental or economic issue."
Just another reason why we think all four of them are so wonderful. They have a heart for not only documenting weddings and life, but for those who go out into the world to make a difference with photography. We are so proud of all of you!

This is such a wonderful thing to do for someone. Knowing the Lacour folks though, it doesn't surprise me in the least bit. I can't wait to see who wins this, and what they are doing. I'm sure the winner is gonna be awesome and deserving!

We need more of this in our industry. I am very excited to hear this. This type of awareness is not only good for photographers it is good for artists. We tend to forget what it is to use our craft to serve a cause that is bigger than us and bigger than $. I know I have been guilty of this in the past.
