Hi All,

New to OSP and loving it so far. I often read but find very little time to post. I am sure many of you are in the same boat. I wanted to post our new business card and see what people think. Our website is new as well and is still in the works. Yes it is a blu template and i would say that i am a blu fan! I know people have had issues, but honestly...other then a few bumps, i am overall very happy.

Feedback would be awesome...

Thanks much,
Brooke

I hope this doesn't come off wrong as it could.

Hire a local graphic designer - maybe a student, maybe a fresh face, someone cheap. But on the first card - I don't like the font nearly enough for it to be basically the entire design of the card. On the second, nothing works together at all. The separation

makes it

hard to read.

Your business card, if done right, is your best marketing tool when marketing works. This marketing doesn't say "simple sophistication" it says "quick, easy, painless."

I hope that isn't too harsh but I'm about telling you the truth for your business, not about making you feel good about something that imho doesn't work.

hey i can handle it! ha. i appreciate the honest feedback. the back of the card is not actually like that...i edited our personal info...it does flow MUCH better when everything is visable.

as for the font on the front, we were really wanting something modern and simple. do you think the actual layout of the logo works and its simply the font, or do you not care for the entire thing?

Hey there Brooke,

I think a graphic artist could take your logo idea and turn it into a vector image. This will allow you to use it in different formats very easily.

Also the name of your company makes me think that your colors should be blue as in indigo blue.

Also on your website the only indication I get that your in BC is your phone number. Do you plan on having an about section? Remember people buy from people not from companies.

Best of luck.

that's actually a good idea.

I don't mind the font, but the color. I also think it should lean blue, and maybe a pop of something else. I like the way the front is laid out. I do also agree, from experience, that you may want to inquire with a graphic artist for help on this. You will need a vector file.

Honestly, I just don't get photographers who make business cards that don't have a photo on the card. Think of that 2 x 3.5 inches as a little canvas for your work.

We just switched to moo cards and we went through our first supply in a blink, and yeah a few friends grabbed more than one, but most people just went through the pile we had on hand and picked their favorite. Moo is doing regular sized business cards too, and there are other printers that will do photo cards for a very reasonable rate.

Neither the front or back of your design say "wow" to me, but the back is especially messy from a graphic design standpoint, imo.
