Dang it .... when did WHCC raise prices? I haven't been paying attention - $7.50 to drop ship now - and only via ups! and all print prices are more too. Not whole ton but it added up on all my orders to an unexpected amount.

Sigh.. inflation... inflation.. inflation.

This really puts a dent in this round of orders for me.

Hi Sandra,

Check out ProDPI - they're at least comparable, if not cheaper.

Thanks for the tip! I will.

I just wasn't expecting this. The print prices are really fine. But thats getting to be a crazy fee for drop shipping.

I liked Whcc's drop shipping. I don't think I'll be able to use it much anymore. How do I explain $7.50 to my clients to ship one 4x6. Nuts. I wish they had a regular mail option. I don't need UPS for these small orders.

If I continue to use them I'll have to up my pricing for shipping - but for this round I was charging the old amount of $5.00 to my clients for shipping - and and extra unexpected $2.50 per order really just added up fast!

They re-evaluate their prices at the beginning of every year, right before the sale. The new prices have been there for a couple months.

Uhhh they sent out an e-mail at the end of last year and said they would be raising their prices. There was fair warning. I raised my prices in turn... I'm really not too worried about the price change, it's not that significant to me.

That being said, I am still interested in trying out ProDPI for their fuji paper and executive drop shipping, but I still love WHCC to death for their consistency, speed and customer service.

Uhhh. Don't be rude. I was asking a question. It was politely answered above. I don't need to be mocked or put down with an uhhhh.

I never got it. I even double looked in my e-mail and spam. It was a shock to me today and it put me out over $100.

it wasnt meant to be rude. sorry if you took it that way. just surprising when they sent out an email to all of their customers and updated their price list WAY before they changed their prices. i hope everything works out for you. best of luck!

Don't mind Trevor... he means well wink.gif

If you're drop shipping with the Print Fulfill version or ROES it's still $5 and the prices haven't gone up much (if at all). Are you sure you didn't open the wrong version of ROES (regular WHCC ROES) by mistake?

No worries, it's ok.

Ah! That maybe it. There are 2 Roes? I used my same software I've always used that has been bookmarked on my computer - I didn't change anything - and it charged me $7.50 to drop ship. Why on earth would they have 2? Thanks SO much for the tip.

Also, thanks for the tip on ProDPI - I looked into it and they have a regular mail drop ship for $3.50 - it's just the small orders when some aunt or grandmother orders one 4x6 - $7.50 and even $5 can be crazy to charge to ship one small item. $3.50 sounds much better.

You may want to look into having a minimum or "flat-rate" shipping charge that covers the drop-ship.

I think people tend to prefer the idea flat-rate shipping and don't begrudge you for charging a minimum. It even encourages them to order more since they're paying the same amount for shipping anyway...

Be careful switching, they use Fuji paper at DPI, not a bad thing, just be aware that the colors won't print exactly the same as they do from WHCC (Kodak paper), especially reds, this has an effect on skin tones.

I would suggest getting the test prints back from them and adjust your screen profile accordingly before you start sending clients their work. wink.gif

I would definitely take advantage of our 5 free 8x10's. Bill is right, colors are different, but just subtle.
