Guys, this is way cool... and free!
ISSUU, and it is a web based application that allows the display of pdf files at any website in a format that most resembles a "real" magazine-book.
This is the first one I tried and was up and running in 2 minutes... the first page (cover) is not part of my album but because it doesn't show a spread on the first page I included a photo of the couple:
http://issuu.com/rarpia/docs/lorena-arturoIt also has embed capabilities that I'll try next... very cool!

I forgot to post before, but thanks for putting this up-- I used it to showcase a guest book, and it is such a great way to post them. I even had some random person see it and comment
http://issuu.com/lindseytropf/docs/nathisaguestbookOnly problem I had is in making the opacities as opaque in the pdf as in the jpegs... but I'll figure it out eventually!
(This book should be in tomorrow.... my first WHCC/Guest Book... so excited!)

Amazing Session! Love your pics all the way. The layout works very well. I like the double spread with the closup. Very intimate.
Rudolfo, thank you for mentioning this service!

Great stuff!! I love it!!
By the way, Rodolfo... That threw me for a loop when I saw "Azusa" in the background of one of the shots. I grew up in Azusa and now live in Glendora. =)

You are my hero. I was looking for something like this last week. Now I know where to go in the future.

I signed up with them and tried to upload a PDF book (album), but for some reason my upload gets to about 60% and then tells me there was a communication error and cancels. Makes no sense... I followed their guideline for creating PDF... hmmmm...

I figured out my problem.
Rodolfo, I just wanted to say thank you for this post. I just sold an album using this wonderful tool. It was great. I designed an album, sent it to the client--within 15 minutes they called and ordered 2 copies... How wonderful is that!!! The best thing, of course, is that this program is completely free.
THANK YOU!!!

I think this is an awesome concept. My question is do they have to link through this company's site or can we have a link through our own site like we do with showitweb? Is it totally free or is there some kind of catch?

You can embed it into your blog, but it will still take viewers to the ISSUU site, and yes... it is totally free.
