Hi everyone,

I am looking into email marketing campaign options, and the 2 that I see the most and hear talked about the most are Myemma and Constant Contact.

They seem very similar but slightly different so I'd love to hear people's experiences with either or both and why you chose one over the other.

Thanks!

We're using IContact because it was fast, easy to use, had great templates and I was able to import through Excel and make life simple. I had 900 emails to send and they were *gone* in 25 mins from start to finish.

Thanks Matt and Alyssa. I'll check IContact out to.

Matt or Alyssa,

Did you pay the $395 to have a custom template with your logo and branding made or do you use one of their templates? If so, how do you include your branding?

What made you choose IContact over some of the other choices?

Myemma charges $250 to setup the custom branding and logo template. Just trying to gather as much info as I can before i make a decision.

Just a little bump to hopefully hear other's experiences. Thanks!

I use constant contact. I haven't tried any others but its been really easy for me and I customized one of the templates just the way I liked it and it looks great. I think it's pretty cheap too, I can't remember how much I pay for it but I'm pretty froogle so it cant be that much! I can send you one if you want to see a sample.

Hey Shawn:

I've been an Emma loyalist for quite some time now. I swear by them.

I have no experience with iContact, but I can say that you will be MUCH happier with Emma than with Constant Contact. The biggest issue I had with CC was the deliverability of the emails (I do realize that deliverability might not be a word...but it makes my point)! smile.gif Lots of our CC emails would get caught in people's spam filters & never makes it to the client. Emma has a WAY more sophisticated email server that really gets the job done.

What else? I love that they have live people that are super cool. They have a real office in Tennessee. They're just an amazing company.

Their designers are awesome. We worked with Grey on our template. You might get him too.

The real power of Emma is the grouping, segmenting & then retargeting. You can send a mailing to ONLY the people who CLICK on something in an email. It gives you lots of control on the backend.

Awesome Charles! Thanks so much.

I am kinda leaning towards Emma because they were great to talk to on the phone and they're actually the cheapest by far for a custom template. They're not the cheapest by month, but I think its still totally worth it.

I really appreciate your view since you've used both.

Thanks Sarah!

I've gotten tons of unsolicited spam emails through ConstantContact only a few from MyEmma. Although ConstantContact has been given my opt out request weeks ago, AND promised they would heed my opt out request, they continue to send me offers. As a member of www.OptOut1.com I just want the emails to stop. So far, no luck.

Will let you know if the spam finally ceases from either source.

I used to use several mass email accounts for our political campaigns, and Constant Contact was one of them. I liked their easy upload interface of new contact lists, as well as their template options for customizing our email messages -- and we were sending out emails to thousands of folks. If I recall they do have a free trial that you could test out and see if it works for you.
