The Pickpic site recommends WestHost. But which plan do you use? There are about 10 different plans that they offer.
Thanks.

We started with the Business Starter plan, I think. They recently offered special upgrades to existing customers and we upgraded to something totally different that isn't an option. It appears to have bandwidth and space slightly above the Business Pro, but we didn't pay business pro prices to upgrade. We were ok on the Business Starter for a while, but definitely needed more space pretty quickly. I would recommend doing the "Nearly 10 Special" that is only available to new accounts, but you need to do it by February 29th. If you click on "compare all plans" it will show up, and it is by far your best bet right now.

Thank you so much!!!!!
I say the nearly to plan, but noticed it said it didn't support Apache...
So, that isn't necessary for cart?

I just asked Adam, and he said he thinks it is not necessary. I am pretty sure we didn't have it included on the plan we signed up for either. You should email Troy and Rebecca just to be sure.

Holy cow! I can barely read my last post!
Thanks again, Lynn!
I just signed up for the nearly 10 plan. I will definitely update my Pickpic cart progress.

I hear ya! I am going through this now. Yeah for Pickpic! I got the business starter and will upgrade when I need it...I don't think they had the nearly 10 when I signed up- that's okay though! Just glad the whole process is going and underway! (Rebecca rocks my world!!!)

if you have questions like this just get in touch with Troy--he'll help you through it.
he's been great for me. i've had my PickPic cart for years and did the upgrade to PP3 and along the way he's always been quick to answer all of my questions and deal quickly with my requests.

I absolutely hated dreamhost. They weren't very reliable and after reading up and seeing that others had similar problems I switche to 1and1. One of the best things I did. Up time is incredible and their customer services is very good.

Just my 0.14 Chinese yuan but I'd recommend against using a shared host for your money-making application (cart).
WestHost's business plans offer "virtual private servers" which means your site's resources are not shared with thousands of other users.
That is the #1 reason why we left PowWeb for our hosting. They had a shared MySQL server pool that was constantly bogged down and was actually costing us real money in lost sales.
