I just pulled the trigger on a new Mac Pro, and I am sure I have done the right thing. My biggest fear at this point is how to get my emails from Outlook Express to the Mac? I know there is going to be a learning curve and hopefully this move will be worth it!

FWIW, I am horrible with computers but trying to learn more each day.

Check out this article http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=304721 About 2/3 of the way down is a topic on transferring your mail from PC to Mac.

Also, the entire Switch 101 section of Apple's Support site is very informative for former PC users. Hope this helps!

Thanks guys for the info. I am on this thing for the first time today, and I can say that it feels like a football bat. A little bit strange, but I think when I get used to it I am going to be glad I made the change. The keyboard is really throwing me off! I am going to have some true amatuer questions if some of you pros can assist it would be mucho appreciated.

you can plug a windows keyboard into it. You'll lose the eject button and the windows key will be your command key... otherwise it's the same.

I love these for a laptop.

I just installed another 8gb of RAM and another 500gb HD on this thing, there is no doubt it is slowww with the basic factory configuration!

I am starting to like it alot more with this extra speed, but now I need a MacBook Pro to go with it! I could have bought a new 1Ds III for what this conversion will end up costing. blink.gif blink.gif

Hahaha exactly! I know that feeling oh so much. I think Steve Jobs owes me lunch or something by now.
