Silly!

Maybe like this..."Despite what I write or do at clubs with other ladies...." tongue.gif

No...but seriously...

Alisha...put in what you were before getting inot photography and also include that you're a black belt in martial arts. Your fun and feisty outgoing personality that makes you stand out in a crowd of photographers.

Micheal Parkes is on my walls. smile.gif He is a very fluid artist too!

Not sure if being talked aobut on the knot is a good thing! HAHAHA!@!!!

Anyway I threw this together what do you think?

Alisha has a background in political science/pre-law and was in graduate school for International Relations on her way to law school before she quit becoming a photographer full time. However, Alisha has always had passion for the visual arts also being a national award winning artist. Her photography can be described as very fluid motion inspired by 15 years in the martial arts. With the help of Pictage’s marking, Alisha's studio has become one of the fastest growing studios in the St. Louis, Missouri area.

The only thing I would tweek is the wording on the end of this ... it makes it sound like you are quitting photography. Add a semi-colon after quit or change it to "and became"... thumbsup.gif

I like Stephanie's edits best!!!

What Stephanie said. smile.gif
Alisha
That's guys! I've written a few other pictage photographers bios before! Just not my own! So hard.

I like that you show how well rounded you are with your education, the martial arts, and your artistic photography! Kinda gives people how you are morrrrrrre than just a photographer! smile.gif

Alisha studied political science/pre-law and was in graduate school for International Relations on her way to law school before deciding to focus on photography full time. She is a national award winning artist and has always had a strong passion for the visual arts. A 2nd degree black belt and 15 years in martial arts have helped to develope her unique style which blends fluid motion with emotion. Taking advantage off Pictage’s diverse marketing, and her outgoing personality has driven her studio to become one of the fastest growing and sought out studios in the South. Her cients love her work but are equally impressed by her because of the person she is.
Oh.. and she will kick ass, unless it is on the dance floor, but we won't go there.
LOL thumbsup.gif

I have a bridge for sale too. No really, meant everyword!

The south, Frank? Is that where NY-ers have us? I guess if you're in Tallahassee you could call Atlanta the "north!" laughing.gif

What was it Colon called us at PartnerCon...the "Mid-East?"

Midwest...we get NO respect! blink.gif tongue.gif
Katherine
I was just thinking the same thing!!! I was like...SOUTH????? I'm in swamp country down here! People from Miami should be the most southerner types!!! tongue.gif

Or...compared to Chris in Canada...Frankie can be a redneck coon dawg like the rest of us here! tongue.gif tongue.gif (Linda...where are you when I need you?) smile.gif

lol...St. Louis....the south. We love ya Franken-oops wub.gif
Frank DiMeo
sorry...I was trying to widen her area (could have said world)...come on though, what did you guys think about the rest of my rewrite? Is it good, better, or worse. I was looking for more of a response than to just one word of it.
Alisha
I like how you put Diverse into pictage marketing! They will like that too! I dont' like the last senstence. I"m self consious. Everyone is great! smile.gif

I should just put:

I'm good friends with Frank DiMeo. That's good enough!!! smile.gif
~Alisha
liana

Alisha

yo frankensouth, i thought your bio was dead on bro. some good thoughts added by many, but that bio was right on the dolla dolla bills. loved it. i need you to re-write mine man.

the last sentence was the only thing id change, but i wouldnt completely delete in ali. id just adjust it so it doesnt sound so self confident (since it seems you are uncomfortable with that aspect), so just word it appropriately.... but it is important to have that last sentence round it all out and make sure you harp on what seperates you, which is your personality. dont leave out your great personality and the advantage that brings because you're scared of looking overconfident. then all youre really doing is not informing people of what seperates you from all the rest.

and one comment on the south..... i would have considered st. louis the "south" too. heck just about anything south of pennsylvania is south to me. from south of penn all the way to vegas is just about "the south" to NYers. most of us consider the united states to consist of NY and CA, anything else is just a tourist attraction or fly over.

and i took the south part as referring to a larger market. i wouldnt put midwest over wherever you guys are talking about either, and i wouldnt put st louis, put a very large region since you want to continue to climb the ladder.
danwatkins
How about...

"the world is her oyster!"

Oh yeah, cliche...

LOL

Not that last sentence I hope because that was for OSP'ers only.
The other last sentence I like but if you change it please follow Lukes advice.
Maybe "because of the person she is" could be her persoanl commitment to make sure they are happy with the end result.

Good point Blogman, that is exactly what I meant, and I would be happy to help with yours (although it is already very good) anytime.

Dan, I was expecting a little more with your exceptional writing skills. I know nobody does it better.

Either way, please share the final draft with us Ali so we can see what you ended up with.

i would welcome any suggestions frank. feel free to email them if you want, if you have the time as well (i know we're both craming before gillian's party).

Frank...

ME TOO! (I was also expecting a little more from myself...)

...but...

I guess this was one of those instances where I chose to be an observer rather than a know-it-all!! laughing.gif (Or, at least, I didn't want to risk sounding like one...)

I'm also a literary perfectionist (or, heck, I try to be). What you, and Stephanie, and others wrote, I thought, were all excellent for Alisha's PUG plug. And, I also feel quite strongly that Alisha's work ethic and her images do a lot of talking for her. thumbsup.gif I just didn't want to end up spending several hours looking for the perfect description of Alisha...at the risk of being off base. Those who work closely with her (like Michelle, Stephanie, et al) and those who have spent more time with her than I have (anyone who went to OSPS) have more experience working with her than I do. (yes, I'm quite jealous!!) I look forward to helping Alisha with the STL pug and hopefully someday getting to shoot with her (sounds like she has a lot on her calendar for '06, so I'm hopeful), because, frankly, (really, no pun intended!) I really look up to her. notworthy.gif Which is pretty amazing, if you think about it, since I'm 13 1/2 years older and 10 3/4 inches taller than Alisha! Like many others on OSP...she's a GIANT in my book! thumbsup.gif

BTW -- I'd be remiss if I didn't acknowledge your compliment. Thank you! biggrin.gif I ges al dem yers of anglish comp payd off, eh? LOL

EDIT - I submitted this post 5 minutes ago and have already edited it twice three times. This is a sickness!!! I have weddings I need to edit! he-he-he...
Michelle Ross
Man, I've been away shooting for 48 hours and this post takes off! What's the rough draft look like so far?
Alisha
AWWWW!! Thanks Dan! I will take your compliments humbley!
See I can't even spell!!! Let alone write. Umm maybe that was another reason why I quit law school! Helps if you can read and write!!!!!!

I would totally not be anywhere with friends like you guys! Really I'm not that great! smile.gif Dan you missed it I was all crying at OSPS! I really mean it when I say it.
I had to send something to pictage ASAP so I sent the first revised draft but I'm sure I will need more bio stuff soon so I wrote down everything you said Frank and saved it on my computer! Pictage may even change stuff, who knows?
Love you guys!

Alisha is great! Thinking back on OSPS I spent more time talking with her than shooting with her. We had an extended time on Sunday morning to talk since the NY Boyz were late and it was great to get to know her in person. The little time I had shooting with her on Sunday was certainly something I treasure and if I lived near her I would be bugging the heck out of her to tag along on her shoots. Guess that is my bad luck and her good luck! tongue.gif

Dan, you need to get with the program!

Hmmm...Jim, you sound like my wife, my kids, my boss, my clients, my bank, a guy at the post office, my doctor, my dentist, my pastor, two-thirds of my friends (both of them), my 91 year-old grandma, every teacher I ever had from K thru MBA, my neighbors (the ones who still talk to me), anyone who sits near me at a professional sporting event that involves physical contact, the girl who agreed to go with me to my high school prom (she was holding a paper bag with 2 holes cut out when she said this), and all 3 of my credit card companies...
