I've been wanting to try Kubota actions. How does it fit into your workflow?

I use Lightroom (on a PC) and love love love how it saves me time.
So I guess if Kubota isn't compatible with Lightroom, I'm not sure I wanna use it! (I don't want to add another step in editing).

Thanks!

I do my edits in light room, and export. After it is exported, I look at my images in Bridge. I give things color codes depending on what action I want to use. Red=Hot Fudge. Yellow=The Look. Ect..... Then I run Batch actions on them using Kubota actions. Sometimes I'll open a few favorites and spend some time on them.

I think that LR is a great tool and I love it. However, its sharpening (while improving) leaves something to be desired. Also, its Noise Reduction is decent, but it doesn't compare to any of the big 3 plug-ins (NoiseWare, NoiseNinja, Neat Image). Thus, I think that at a minimum, anything that is going to printed hard-copy, either prints or albums, deserves a trip into PS. Thus, if you want to run Kubota actions during those steps, it isn't too bad. Kubota also makes some pretty good LR presets - not quite like his actions, but pretty good.

His MagicSharp is good...

Yeah, I agree about Lightroom's sharpening. It's not very good. Maybe it's just me, but I find the Curves a pain to adjust (nothing like how easy it is in PS). It's mainly the Kubota MagicSharp that I'm wondering about....
So would I use that in Bridge? Or do they have a MagicSharp preset for Lightroom?

Meh - for the money (and since you're on a PC anyway) get this.

Much better at sharpening, IMO.
(And it's really good at a whole lot of other things too...)
