I don't want anyone else to get burned by Pictage...so, I thought I would share my experience. Last summer I signed up with Pictage. One of the incentives that I was promised when signing up with them was a "free" album. That album was designed and submitted in August 2007, and I have yet to recieve it. After a visit to their booth at Imaging USA, calling my area representative, several calls and e-mails to Customer-No-Service, I still don't have that album. I am a photographer that has been on a HUGE wild goose chase...imagine what our clients could go through
with them. Just a thought for the day.

Thanks,
Tricia

WOW . . . that really sucks!!! Hope you get that album sometime soon! Imagine if that was a client waiting on that!!!

That is really strange. I too used the free album promotion, and while it did take 8 weeks and a little bit of follow up, I did receive it. It was beautiful, and the credit did show up on my statement. Have you actually talked to someone at Pictage? That doesn't sound like them...Keep trying! That is terrible though!

You need to call in to customer service and see what is going on. Pictage is not out to give you the run around.

I had the same experience. I wrote it off.

My experience was almost identical. I am still a member thanks to a man named Scott (muira?) something along that line. I was ready to dump them and then Scott stepped in and fixed everything for me! He has been their only redeeming factor for me. If I could get the Bonzai willowbooks anyplace else as cheap I'd have been gone long ago. Called and emailed customer service can't tell you how many times. Zilch...they didn't even return my phone calls. Scott got right back to me, figured everything out...WOW! They need more like HIM! Ask for Scott Miura.

It's so frustrating to me, because Pictage has such an amazing idea but they fall down SOOOO badly on customer service.

Sounds like another company I know.

Maybe if you keep posting on here they will finally respond. Some of these companies seem to follow the forums more than checking and responding to their customer emails.

Hmm, I signed up with pictage in June 07, submitted my album I think in Aug/Sept and I got my album within 8 weeks, no problems at all.

Pictage has had their share of bumps in the road for sure!

But this forum is about relationships. Hopefully you can develop one with a good REP at Pictage. Dave Heyman is my rep and he is the best at customer service. He takes my gripes. He takes responsibility. He also is patient with my own idiot mistakes that I have made and my customers have made.

There are a lot of online labs and they all have their good and bad side.

I have debated switching for 6 months. Pictage is listening to their customers and they are changing some things. I am sticking with it in hopes that they will just get better at doing what they do.

I am sure we all have our flaws in customer service, we just hid them really well in many creative ways. So easy to do, isn't it.

I got my Album without a hitch and hope you get yours as well. The funny thing about my album. I loaned it out and the lady lost it -- just great, gotta love it smile.gif
