that stinks! I just bought a new polaroid camera and several polaroid guest books and stuck that on my product list for my wedding clients, cause everyone loves them. now I'm gonn ahave to go buy all the film I can find for the ones I already booked this year.... wacko.gif

The good news is, at least Fuji seems to still be in the film game (including instant)... at least for now.

I hope we don't see it all go the way of the do-do, that would be sad.

That so stinks...

Anyone use Polaroid Transfer Machines? I love love love that art form...away with that I guess. Makes me so sad.

Wow, that just plain old sucks. I also do polaroid transfers and emulsion lifts, and sell them in my gallery. mad.gif

I wonder if it is just the kind that goes in the instamatic type cameras, or if they are discontinuing the types that are used for emulsion lifts, larger format polaroid backs for film cameras, etc...

I just bought a bunch of type 669 from Adorama, just in case. FYI, Adorama had it for more than 10 bucks cheaper for my total order. $20 bucks for 2 packs of 10, compared with $22.50 for 2 packs of 10 at B&H.

I mentioned this to another friend to day, and he said he thought he had heard that they are stopping production of it all... But who knows?

Polaroid images definitely have a distinctive look and I'm sad that the film will no longer be manufactured. I wonder if it will affect one of the world's coolest cameras:
