Strange I know, but I am having a hard time figuring out what jobs to delegate to my new assistant. She will be starting in a few weeks and I desperately need help with the little things to free up more time to do more networking and take awesome care of my clients.
The problem is that I have been a one-woman show for so long that when I think of what to have her do, I think about how this or that task isn't that hard so I might as well do it myself! Ugh! I need to let go....I am such a control freak.

Anyone have an assitant and would care to share some of the tasks that they do?

Thanks!
Anne
She should do everything you don't want to do. ;-)
Here's my list...

Anne,
I just love you! One more bottle of Framboise added to your goody bag for that one!

As she learns, you can add more to her responsibilities.
The key is that you have to learn to give up some control.
That was hard for me at first, but I wouldn't go back.
I don't have to touch an image after it is shot. From downloading to printing, album design, galleries, nothing.
For that matter, I don't even shoot but about a third of the images we produce anymore.

Hire good people, teach them well, and trust them (but check up on them once in a while;) )

You've got the system down, Mark! Nice work!
I hope I can get there. I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to do more shooting, and WAY LESS of the other stuff.
That's good info, Anne-- thanks!!
