Valentine's Day is the single busiest day for our friends in the Florist Industry. They are often challenged to find help, or hire extra employees for that one day of the year. In High School, I helped out at a friend's Mom's Flower Shop, until I was fired for Illegal parking too many times at the hospitals- but that's another story. I know how busy these guys get. This presents a great opportunity for us to build vendor relations (and favor) with our favorite Florists.

I called one of my favorite local florists last week, and told her I was coming to her shop to hang out all day on Valentine's Day. I told her to send me with the delivery person, let me work the counter, or do whatever I could to help her out....without pay. She was shocked, but gladly accepted the offer. So I'll be riding around with her driver, delivering flowers myself.

During consults, I always ask the bride who her other vendors are. Usually, they have yet to choose the caterer, the DJ, or the videographer, but they seem to always have an answer for the Florist. If they are choosing the Florist before the photographer, this could open up doors for you.

Oh, and don't forget to take a little time out to give the Valentine's in your life some love. wub.gif

That is VERY sweet and I bet it is such a GREAT feeling to have someone open a door and hand them a bouquet of beautiful flowers. I would love to do that!
