I urge all members to carefully read their "Terms of Service" when subscribing to Internet Advertisements and Directories. Evidently, I didn't - so my bad!!! I'm also not a frequent Paypal user.

I had previously subscribed to a wedding directory called "The Wedding Zone". It was only $100 bucks per year and they had a good placement in Google. However, in 2007 I noticed that when I did a Google search on Phoenix or Arizona wedding photographer keywords, and clicked on their listing, Google would come up with a warning that this was an "unsecure site... do you wish to continue"?

Oh well, I figured I would not renew, it was only $100... lesson learned. To my surprise, Paypal charged me $100 again without my authorization for "The Wedding Zone" listing. Upon contacting "The Wedding Zone" I learned that according to their terms of service I had signed up for a recurring subscription and no refunds would be made.

Well, I got future subscriptions cancelled via Paypal, but the vendor refused to cancel my 2008 listing and refund the $100. How easy would that have been for them?

Lesson: Always read the terms of service even if it bores you to tears! And be sure to logon to your PayPal account and check out your account!!! PayPal allows vendors to charge you on a recurring basis, and I'm not sure if Visa allows this.
